New to our concept and quality fronts? Here's what most people don't realise is possible.

If you're just discovering the world of Fronteriors, here's the short version: IKEA makes the cabinet frames - practical, affordable, endlessly configurable. We make everything you see. Doors, drawer fronts, side panels and fillers, made to order and designed to fit IKEA's Metod, Pax and Besta systems precisely.

But a Fronteriors project is rarely just a swap of doors. It's the small, considered details (the ones you might not know to ask or look for) that take cabinetry from "assembled" to "built for our exact space." Here are nine of them.

1. Extended doors for a handleless look.

Our doors can extend past the bottom edge of the cabinet frame, concealing it completely. The extended edge doubles as a grip, so handles aren’t needed, and neither is that cumbersome pelmet strip that sometimes sits below the doors. Just clean, uninterrupted surfaces and an chic, uncluttered aesthetic.

2. One tall cabinet, one long door.

Sometimes a tall cabinet calls for split doors. Sometimes you just want one long, unbroken door. We offer both, so the proportions of your cabinetry are a choice, not a compromise dictated to you by only standard options.

3. Doors that reach the ceiling.

Standard heights reveal an off-the-shelf solution. Custom-length doors extend to just below the ceiling, visually heightening the room and replacing that horizontal filler piece and flat-pack feel with a fully bespoke finish.

4. A concealed toe-kick.

By extending the door length to cover the toe-kick on Pax wardrobes, the base line disappears. The cabinetry no longer reads as freestanding, it feels intentional, architectural and built-in.

5. Extended, seamless side panels.

Our side panels extend all the way to the floor. And if your cabinets are installed back-to-back (common for island configurations), the panels accommodate the width of both - with no vertical seams in sight.

6. Customisable island panels.

An island is often the centrepiece, so ours are made to measure. A variety of options let you include or exclude back-to-back cabinets and bar counter overhangs. All seamless, whichever configuration you choose.

7. Ventilated toe-kicks.

A quiet, practical detail: ventilated toe-kicks facilitate air circulation in cabinets that house built-in appliances. Invisible from a distance, invaluable over time.

8. Tall cover panels and fillers.

Gaps between cabinetry and walls are inevitable. Visible ones aren't. We offer a selection of filler sizes that can be used both vertically and horizontally, tailoring the fit to your exact space.

9. Elevated materials.

The finish changes everything. Natural textures and quality materials add depth, warmth and a premium feel, in daylight and up close.
